A front must be created to make it difficult for an army to simply walk into Uesugi-Date core provinces unmolested and begin doing what it pleases. Any march down the northern shore would be illogical as there is no direct road access and thus only ships carrying soldiers would be able to move down that direction.ДЈ. The Date are only capable (within the bounds of efficiency) of gaining direct road access from Ugo - Iwate, Ugo - Uzen, Iwate - Miyagi and Uzen - Miyagi. Before the Date make their move south they must consolidate their forces in the North, stamp out all potential resistance to total Date Northern rule which literally means kill the Daimyo of EVERY SINGLE clan that reside in the North and kill his wives, heirs, generals and any other relatives (essentially make that clan extinct) and then create an intricate network of roads linking, wherever possible, the capitals of the every province under Date rule in order to decrease the time it takes to march an army across the province.Дў. But rest assured, when the Dragon of Echigo clashes with the Tiger of Kai, their northern allies will be there.ДЄs you can see we appear to be fairly close to one another however the size of the most Northern Provinces (Iwate, Ugo, Miyagi and Uzen) means that it would take several years for a Date army to cross to say the Uesugi capital, Echigo, or the adjacent province, Fukushima. The Date must consolidate their power in the north and kill Tanumune and his rebels before the long march south begins. The rebels residing in Echigo and Yamanouchi of Kozuke will quickly be crushed however the mighty and ancient Takeda clan, masters of horse, must be challenged and ultimately destroyed before further southern expansion. It is his belief that an Uesugi must become Shogun and thus they enter the fray with reckless abandon. Hoffy will be playing as the Uesugi who are righteously feared for their devout warrior monks with the Daimyo, Uesugi Kenshin, being an adherent of the War God Bishamonten. Whilst Harumune obviously rejected the idea of one of his brothers being shipped off to Echigo he still favours an alliance with the Uesugi. The Old Daimyo, Tanumune, was dethroned by his eldest son, Harumune, for trying to marry off another son to the Uesugi clan for an alliance. The Date however have never been a major concern to the southern lords as they viewed the 'wargames' in the south as nothing but petty rivalries and needless power struggles. Timmix will be playing as the Date, undisputed Lords of the North fierce, unforgiving warriors, the Date are well known and feared for their No-Dachi samurai.

Timmix and Hoffy will once again be playing a Total War: Shogun 2 co-op campaign.
